Premier of Lower Saxony Christian Wulff spoke to some of these children for 45 minutes during a reception at the German embassy in Beijing on German Unification Day.

On the perimeter of Paralympic activities the Red Cross in China (CRC) and the Otto Bock Foundation have discussed further proceedings to assist children who were victims of the earthquake disaster in Sichuan.
